Dean Packaging has secured £973,000 in funding from Santander Business Banking to help it invest for growth and attract new clients. The funding will also help to create more jobs within the business and help carry it through seasonal changes in demand which can impact cashflow.
Dean Packaging has over 20 years of experience as a leading supplier of packaging materials to the food and industrial sectors. The cost effective nature of the company’s products means it has cemented an excellent reputation in the UK packaging industry, with an established base of regional clients.
The business operates from premises in Cwmbran, Mamhilad and Hereford and is looking to further improve on last year’s successes of £1.8 million turnover with aspirations of hitting £2 million turnover next year. The company, which works with a number of Santander clients, is aiming in particular to invest in its marketing and sales capabilities to secure new clients locally and further across the UK.
Ian Kennedy, director at Dean Packaging, said: ‘We believe we offer a truly differentiated product suite backed up by a strong client service ethos. We reached a point where we were looking to invest for growth – the team at Santander has been very supportive and listened to our needs to provide a funding solution that really worked for us.’
Paul Williams, relationship director at Santander Business Banking, said: ‘We are delighted to be supporting a successful local business in its aspirations for growth. Dean Packaging have secured the market in South East Wales and Herefordshire and we are happy to be supporting the team as it looks to invest in growth and expand its footprint.’
