At Fespa, ColorGate (stand A.40, hall 1.1) is to present its comprehensive solution portfolio for digital print automation and colour standardisation along the entire process chain, with workflow, RIP and colour management solutions for commercial and industrial printing.
In cooperation with Metis Systems srl, ColorGate will present a new 3D capturing and digital reproduction solution.
To address the growing interest of businesses that are demanding industrial grade solutions for digital surface creation ColorGate is announcing a new collaboration with Italian high tech scanner manufacturer Metis Systems with the scope to offer aligned solutions from image and surface acquisition to output rendition for digital inkjet printing solutions.
At Fespa, ColorGate will be presenting a complete scan to print solution on the base of the Metis Surf 3D Scanner in a ColorGate Edition in combination with the firm’s RIP and colour management software for a variety of decorative digital printing application such as décor, ceramics, textile or wallpaper.
The company will also present its Adobe PDF Print Engine based RIP software families Productionserver, Filmgate and Proofgate as well as the Industrial Productionserver range for ceramic, décor, packaging, and textile applications.
ColorGate offers colour management solutions (colour accuracy and colour consistency) for automation and standardisation along the entire process chain from design over prepress, print production to finishing.
The solutions profile a system and create a reference state, which is used by Media Device Synchronisation (MDS). Then it can be verified with the Quality Assurance Module (QAM): Applying ColorGate’s reliable recalibration technology Media Device Synchronisation a printer can be reverted to a reference state. In addition, MDS allows fine adjustment of identical printers in the event of system – or environment related deviations. Beyond that, multiple identical systems can be matched in a way that identical results can be achieved when printing on the same material. Fine adjustment is based on an ICC profile, for consistent colour results at any time.
Integrated Quality Assurance is an integrated quality assurance system for the digital imaging market, which allows control, documentation of colour consistency and to archive the results. Based on the proven colour wedge technology, applying QAM, users can save costs and reduce production time. In addition, QAM ensures high customer loyalty due to constant high quality of printing results.
QAM already controls quality of the printing result during production workflow. The user dialogue of QAM provides predefined and measured values of colour control wedge in a clearly structured table.

A ‘heat map’ visualisation indicates colours and areas that cannot be printed colour accurately. It is particularly suitable for the use in the production of decorative surfaces and textiles, as well as for digital packaging printing.
