FachPack 2018 bigger than ever

FachPack (25 to 27 September 2018) will this year occupy 12 halls at the exhibition venue in Nuremberg, Germany.

The European trade fair for packaging, processing and technology will welcome around 1500 exhibitors and more than 40,000 visitors.

In order to maintain an overview with so many exhibitors, the floor plan has been completely revised and organised by themes. ’We would like to make it as easy as possible for visitors to FachPack to find their way around the trade fair. They should be able to quickly find the exhibitors who have the answers to their questions and who offer the corresponding solutions,’ explained Cornelia Fehlner, exhibition director at NürnbergMesse. ‘In the past, focus areas have emerged organically in certain halls. We picked up on this idea and refined it in planning the layout of the halls.’  

FachPack illustrates the complete packaging value added chain in all 12 exhibition halls: packaging machines, labelling and marking technology, as well as intra-logistics and packaging logistics are located in the southern exhibition halls (halls 1, 2, 3, 3A, 4, 4A). The northern exhibition halls (halls 4, 5, 6, 7, 7A, 8, 9) house packaging materials, packaging aids, as well as packaging printing and processing.  A new feature is that each of the twelve halls has a very specific theme that attracts a particularly large number of exhibitors. ‘Anyone coming to FachPack who is interested in packaging printing, finishing, and premium packaging, for example, should first visit the newly occupied hall 8, which features an attractive design. Visitors from the medical technology, pharmaceuticals, or cosmetics industries, on the other hand, should head directly for Hall 3A, because that is where they will find the largest range of products and services for their industry,’ Cornelia continued. Topics such as paper, carton and cardboard can be found in a number of halls (Halls 5, 7A, 9) because there are so many exhibitors.

Hall 3A: Pharmaceuticals and medical technology, cosmetics  

Hall 4: Intra and packaging logistics, labelling and marking equipment,  environmental engineering  

Hall 4A: Intra and packaging logistics  

Hall 5: Paper, carton, cardboard, metal  

Hall 6: Flexible and moulded plastic, wood  

Hall 7: Flexible and moulded plastic  

Hall 7A: Paper, carton, cardboard  

Hall 8: Packaging printing, processing, premium packaging  

Hall 9: Flexible and moulded plastic, paper, carton, cardboard.
