Jadan Press to upgrade its digital printing with a Versafire EV

Print Solutions

Jadan Press, an early adopter of Heidelberg digital press technology, has placed an order for the latest generation Versafire EV with the Prinect digital front end. The five colour press will be delivered to the Hull plant at the end of next month.

‘We are replacing the 901 we have had for five years. The latest generation press offers even better printing quality and we will be able to print six page A4 work which previously would have gone litho,’ said Pam Wainman, managing director. ‘That will be valuable for restaurant work and for short run stationery orders. We hope to get new business as a result of this investment.’

The company likes the ability of the Versafire EV to handle clear, white and neons in the fifth station and it is planning to create samples to show customers the type of products they could now use for promotional or functional purposes.

‘Customers rely on us to give them a steer on the best substrates, right inks or technology to use for their work,’ said Pam.

The company runs two Speedmaster SM 74s, a five and a six colour, and has comprehensive finishing services in-house.

‘Heidelberg are top notch, first class. We get great support and advice and we are loyal to them because they are loyal to us,’ said Pam.

Jadan is finding that business is buoyant currently but there have been upheavals since Brexit and Pam says print, and all industries, would welcome an end to the uncertainty over the single market.

Jadan Press is ISO 9001 quality accredited and is a member of the BPIF.

Heidelberg will be holding a Digital Performance Open House on Wednesday 12 September in the Brentford showroom when visitors can see demonstrations of both the Versafire EV and Versafire EP as well as the Prinect digital front end.
