As an innovation led, specialist producer of BOPP films, Innovia Films is continuously researching new products and technologies that reduce food waste, enhance product shelf life, enables easy opening or allows the final pack designed to be used within the circular economy.

At Fackpack (Hall 7, Stand 7-143) it will be showcasing a range of new products with optimum barrier performance. They include high barrier metallised films, AlOx clear high barrier films and coextruded oxygen barrier films. These films will allow pack simplification, by removing/replacing layers within lamination materials that restrict recycling. They will also assist in the production of mono layer materials that facilitate easier recyclability for different applications.

Polypropylene is a highly functional low carbon footprint material offering a combination of properties. When used as a packaging material, polypropylene can extend the shelf life of perishable goods and considerably reduce the overall food waste burden.
