LT Print Group addresses digital growth with Horizon SPF-200L buy

LT Print Group has invested in a Horizon SPF-200L bookletmaker from Intelligent Finishing Systems to handle growing digital print volumes.

Established more than 40 years ago, the Merseyside operation offers a fully comprehensive range of creative print requirements for the hospitality sector.

The Horizon SPF-200L joins a Horizon SPF-200A bookletmaker and a Foliant Taurus 530SF laminator.

Operations director Keith Goodridge commented, ‘We are always looking at investment which will increase our productivity and improve our customer service. Over the last five years our digital volumes have doubled whilst there is still a large demand for high quality full colour litho work from our customer base.

‘Our customers are always looking for the shortest available turnaround times for both litho and digital work, which drove the need for us to invest in a second booklet maker to join our existing system.

‘Having a second machine has given us more flexibility to meet customer demand especially for short run digital booklet/brochure work. We chose the A4 landscape capability and the deeper six station towers to give us greater production flexibility.’

The highly automated Horizon SPF-200L incorporates the ability to feed A4 landscape sheets up to 640 mm in length. JDF ready, the system offers instant set ups via a large icon based colour touchscreen for user friendly operation. The screen can be used for on the run fine tune adjustments as well as the storage and recall of up to 200 jobs.
