The Taylor Bloxham Group was delighted to be official printers at this year’s Virgin Media British Academy Television Awards for the third consecutive year.
The company was responsible for printing the awards’ brochure as well as tickets for the ceremony, which is one of the major events of the television awards calendar. As official printer to BAFTA, members of the Taylor Bloxham team were also present on the evening to applaud the winners and claim their own souvenir brochure which is distributed to all the guests.
Held at the Royal Festival Hall on London’s South Bank on 12 May and hosted by TV presenter Graham Norton, the event was attended by many household names from the world of sport and entertainment. It proved to be a successful night for BBC One drama series Killing Eve which garnered three awards while Baroness Joan Bakewell was awarded the BAFTA fellowship.
The 100 page brochure included the list of nominations and judges as well as a special black and white photographic essay featuring off stage scenes from the 2017 and 2018 TV BAFTAs and an in memoriam section. The cover was printed on Stucco Old Mill 300 g/m2 paper with pages printed on UPM Fine Offset 150 g/m2 coated paper; 170 g/m2 Garda Gloss was used for the photographic essay section.
‘The worlds of print and television rarely collide, so it was an exciting evening for us to be able to attend such a glamorous event,’ commented Robert Lockwood, CEO of the Taylor Bloxham Group. ‘Printing the programme for such a prestigious event and such a respected organisation is a real privilege. It is great to know that BAFTA trust us to ensure that the programme is printed with the clarity and sharpness of colour required, especially as image and design is such an important part of the programme.’
The Taylor Bloxham Group also printed the tickets and programmes for February’s EE British Academy Film Awards and the recent British Academy Television Craft awards.
