Print & Prosecco: an evening with Women in Print

Print Solutions Packaging Solutions

Women in Print UK will be hosting a networking event in London at the Cutting Room on Thursday, the 6 June 2019. The event is a mixture of networking and thought provoking questions in order to offer advice and support in a relaxed atmosphere for women working in the different areas of the print industry.

Women in Print UK was founded by Rosie Whitelock, director of the award winning company Bonacia, based in Peterborough, to provide a networking platform for women who work within the print industry. She said, ‘It is an amazing industry to be part of and we want women in the industry to feel comfortable seizing opportunities and to feel like they belong.’

Clair Reilly, a group member and director of Merranti Recruitment Ltd, said: ‘Women in Print is a networking group formed by the ladies of Bonacia. I was kindly invited to the first event, a breakfast meeting in London. It was a proud moment to meet and engage with so many intelligent and successful women in the print industry. The event was a mixture of networking and thought-provoking questions on women in the many different areas of the print industry, whilst offering support and advice. I am really looking forward to the next event 'Print & Prosecco'!’

Rosie has been around print for as long as she can remember. At age five her parents turned their garage into a print outfit which later turned into a £2 million book printing company. This has paved the way for her to become the managing director of an even larger, growing print business. Today she runs Bonacia jointly with her sister where 50% of the senior management team are women. Over the years whilst going to industry awards, forums, trade shows and visiting suppliers she has noticed that women are largely in the minority in the print industry.

The Print and Prosecco evening is an opportunity to connect with other like-minded women working in the print industry in a fun and relaxed environment.

Tickets cost jst £15.00 and can be purchased here

Women who attend will receive a free Women in Print Pack full of useful information. Attendees will be given the optional chance to present a 30 second elevator pitch to share their work history and experiences. A questions and answers session led by Rosie will discuss how women can help promote and grow the number of women working in a male dominated industry.

Prosecco and canapés will be served throughout the evening.

The event offers valuable advice and support and creates the opportunity to network with peers. This is the perfect way to spend a Thursday evening, networking and pushing forward women in the print industry.

The event will take place at the Cutting Room, 95 Charlotte Street, London W1T 4PZ.
