Roland Keppler is appointed the new CEO of Onlineprinters

Print Solutions

Onlineprinters is to be headed by a new CEO. From July 1, Roland Keppler will replace Michael Fries as CEO. Michael is moving on to new business opportunities after five years in the company’s top position. Thanks to past roles, Roland brings a wealth of expertise in business development and internationalising business services companies. He will continue to promote international growth and further develop a customer focus at the Onlineprinters Group. He will lead the company together with CCO Christian Würst, and CFO Dirk A. Müller.

During his professional career, Roland has managed several renowned companies, where digitalisation of business models, expansion into new international markets and consistent customer focus played a significant role.

The industrial engineer has worked as CEO with companies such as the car rental firm Europcar, the car sharing provider car2go, and TUIfly.

‘We are very pleased to attract Roland Keppler to the Onlineprinters Group – he is an extraordinarily experienced manager from the business services sector. Roland will bring a fresh perspective to position the group sustainably for the future and will continue to establish the disruptive online printing model internationally. His extensive experience will help us to further strengthen our market position with a clear customer focus,’ said Walter Meyer, member of the advisory board and founder of Onlineprinters.

Dr Michael Fries has decided to leave the company to focus on other business activities on June 30, 2019, at his own request, and after five years in the position of CEO. Under his management, the company has grown significantly, has taken over two European leaders in their respective markets, Lasertryk and Solopress, and has developed into a large e-commerce group with a turnover of more than €200 million.

Walter Meyer added: ‘I would like to thank Dr Fries for his successful tenure.’
