Pollards enhances quality with additional investment

Rigid box specialist Pollard Group, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, has invested a further £200,000 in new equipment for its Leicestershire factory.

The company has installed a Lamina 1116 Blackline fully auto litho sheet laminator, in particular to meet the demands of a significant new order from a major high street retailer.

The new machine will enable Pollards to produce printed liners for the insides of boxes to an extremely high standard and around three times faster than its previous method.

The machine was supplied by Lamina’s UK sales agent Finishline Machinery after Pollards’ managing director Mark Pollard saw it on show at Fespa.

‘The Lamina 116 Blackline exactly meets our requirements,’ commented Mark. ‘It will ensure we can deliver the best quality and finish in our boxes to help customers promote their brands and further enhance the end user experience.’
