Packaging Innovations proves a hit for first timer DataLase

Packaging Solutions

As the dust settles on another successful Packaging Innovations event, held recently at Birmingham’s NEC, first time exhibitors – coding and marking specialist DataLase – has been closely monitoring the impact of its maiden show.

With plastics once again high on the agenda and carbon emissions and sustainable packaging being the main topics of conversation, the event brought together hundreds of the industry’s leading suppliers alongside networking events and free seminars hosted by leading industry experts. The resulting high levels of footfall over the two days helped to provide exhibitors such as DataLase with the opportunity to showcase their latest developments and technologies to an engaging and attentive audience.

‘For our first Packaging Innovations, it was great to be able to show our complex technology in action,’ said DataLase’s chief sales and marketing officer Paul Dustain. ‘The live demo of our case coding solution, a highly efficient and advanced method of applying variable information onto corrugated boxes, received a good level of interest throughout the show. Having a case coding box on The Pack Hub Innovation stand also helped provide visitors with a good insight to our expertise in improving supply chain efficiencies.

‘We received a high number of positive leads from the two days and were able to fly the DataLase flag, which certainly helped create that all important brand awareness. We feel this is a key show in the UK packaging sector and are looking at potentially re-booking for next year,’ added Paul.
