Box Inc, the digital business to business marketplace for corrugated board packaging, has experienced strong demand, recording a 400 % growth in volumes in May compared to April. The monthly packaging volumes now count in hundreds of thousands.

Since its entry on the German market in early 2020, Box Inc has experienced a strong demand from both customers and suppliers to use its digital marketplace for corrugated packaging. As a result, the marketplace is rapidly expanding its range of products by partnering with additional suppliers.

Customers who submit a request for quotation via Box Inc will benefit from an even wider range of corrugated packaging products offered by established suppliers. All suppliers follow a strict code of conduct with regard to sustainability and ethical business practices.

With the addition of new suppliers, Box Inc has recently started offering corrugated board packaging with a selection of different print qualities. These include flexographic printing for standard products, digital printing for smaller series and offset printing for premium products.

‘We are very satisfied with the growth in demand since launch. Many mail order companies and other companies in the electronics, home and garden, fashion, personal care and manufacturing sectors have shown interest in Box Inc. Moreover, we have started negotiations with over 15 suppliers, so that we will soon expand our range of products even further,’ said Daniel Solbach, customer success manager at Box Inc.

Customers go through a simple process where they select a product, submit a request for quotation, compare, confirm and pay. This process saves time and money compared to traditional ways of sourcing which are relatively manual and search intensive. Suppliers, in turn, can expand their business by reaching new customers without having to set up their own e-commerce platform or invest in sales and marketing activities.

‘In these times of social distancing, companies are seeking new ways of conducting business digitally. Box Inc has a solution for both buyers and suppliers of corrugated packaging to achieve that.
