Print Solutions: Positive About Print

The challenges faced by the enforcement of mask wearing in shops and supermarkets could be helped thanks to the creation of single use PPE kits.

Shoppers could face fines of up to £100 if they don’t abide by the new rules, which come into force from 24 July.

But now online portal Where The Trade Buys has created a simple solution which is perfect to be stocked in shopping centres, cafes, kiosks and even vending machines – with the added bonus of being a marketing tool for businesses.

The company also believes they would be useful for businesses to give out to staff returning from home working for the first time, who may be nervous about using public transport or coming into contact with more people on their way to work.

Where The Trade Buys – which offers a huge range of PPE solutions for numerous industries – has now created a single use PPE kit which comprises two three-ply disposable face masks, two hand sanitiser sachets and one pair of disposable latex gloves.

The company is certain that the packs – which can easily be created with specific logos or branding on the packaging – will also provide a valuable asset for hotels, care homes, sports stadia and leisure outlets to either give to visitors or to sell.

Gary Peeling, CEO of Where The Trade Buys, believes the kits will be invaluable as people have to adapt to wearing a mask in most public places.

‘We are now having to adjust our behaviour and having a mask with us and hand sanitiser is becoming part of our everyday life,’ he said.

‘It is highly likely that people will forget to take a mask with them so it is vitally important that there is a quick and easy way for them to source one or just to have a kit that they can keep with them at all times.

‘For businesses this also offers a great marketing opportunity and a new product which they can either give out to customers or sell.’
