Metsä Tissue offers various training opportunities to attain new talent and to offer young people career opportunities in its sustainable hygiene business.
This summer, 12 new talents are starting their careers at Metsä Tissue.
In the company’s Düren, Kreuzau and Raubach mills, around 60 young people are trained in craft, technology and administration annually. The training courses are practice oriented and diverse and the learning programme is structured in terms of time and subject. After a well organised introduction to the programme, the trainees take on suitable, independent activities in their teams. To do this, they have qualified instructors by their side providing in-house training and intercompany courses.
‘We are proud to be able to offer apprenticeships to young talents at our mills in Germany. This way we can give them opportunities to become familiar with the tissue industry and to find new talent to our mills. Currently we are filling positions for the upcoming 2022 season, and the application round has already started. We look forward to the new applicants and we are particularly proud that our employees recommend Metsä Tissue to their families,’ said Simone Klein, vice president human resources Western Europe, Metsä Tissue.
With its responsible corporate culture, Metsä Tissue sees great importance in ensuring that tomorrow's professionals receive high quality training. Young people should be able to develop their career towards responsible decision makers in the company with a promising future.
In 2021, Metsä Tissue received the top employer award in Germany for its excellent environment for work and development.
