Ricoh highlights metallics at Labelexpo

Packaging Solutions

Printers will be able to see how metallic effects can help them target growth market segments including labels, greeting cards, book covers, brochures, packaging and gift vouchers by engaging with Ricoh at Labelexpo in Brussels.

Partnering European paper and film coating specialist MDV Group, in hall 9, stand 9B36, Ricoh will showcase the capabilities of the fifth unit on the Pro C7100X digital colour sheetfed press. Application samples including labels, with silver as well as gold effects, and the brand new neon pink toner, will be shown on a range of media including synthetics.

Erwin Busselot, business innovations and solutions director, Commercial and Industrial Printing, Ricoh Europe, said: ‘The ability to produce predictable high quality metallic print will allow print service providers to expand their production portfolios and offer a greater array of creative and eye catching results.’

On show, too, will be sign and display applications produced on the Ricoh wide format Pro L4100 latex printer. They will include labels and indoor graphics for carpet and outdoor floor graphics for tarmac.

The company will also present a wide range of top coated thermal papers used wherever variable information needs to be added. They are ideal for the food industry as well as invoices, bank statements and tags, parking, entertainment and transportation tickets.
