Spandex is to host its Innovation Days at an open house event, at its premises in Bristol on 6 and 7 December 2017.

Spaces for the event are limited, all visitors are encouraged to pre-register via www.spandex.co.uk or by calling 0800 77 26 33.

The open house will offer sign makers and digital printers the opportunity to engage in a variety of exciting new material and equipment demonstrations, hands-on workshops as well as a host of other activities. Visitors will also benefit from first hand knowledge from onsite experts who will introduce new ideas to help sign makers and printers grow their businesses.

Leon Watson, UK general manager, commented: ‘Our previous open house events have shown us that customers are always excited to learn about and try out new opportunities to acquire new skills in a friendly environment. The two day event is designed to offer innovative ideas, advice and support to help visitors expand their service capabilities and improve their overall sales and profitability going into 2018.’

A number of hands-on demonstrations will take place across a variety of applications to help visitors identify new business opportunities and try new products and applications.

A resident application specialist will show the latest wrapping techniques, using the newest colours, patterns and trends such as the new psychedelic and reflective wrap films, to help visitors improve their own skills.

Experts will demonstrate a range of interior décor applications including refurbishment, wall wraps and glass panels that will allow visitors to see first-hand the difference digitally printed materials can make to walls and furniture. Attendees will also see the advantages of using frosted materials on windows for privacy and decorative purposes.

Visitors will be able to witness the entire print process from printing through to the finished product, while realising the vast array of products that can be produced using textile from bean bags to displays. Visitors will see the latest textile printing equipment including the Roland Texart XT-640 and the HP Latex 1500.

During the two days, visitors will also be able to attend demonstrations of a wide portfolio of printing equipment.

Spandex will unveil two UK premieres at the event. The new industry leading UV flatbed printer, the swissQprint Impala LED, will be revealed for the first time in the UK. Alongside Rob the Robot, a fully automatic modular robotic arm for automating loading and unloading rigid sheets, another UK first.

The super wide format printer will be running throughout the two days, with experts on hand to talk visitors through the benefits and functionality of the 3.2 metre printer. With its increased production speeds due to dual roll printing and high print speeds, this is a not to miss demonstration for visitors.

Spandex will showcase even more print technology and equipment from leading manufacturers including HP, Roland, Epson and Sawgrass including flatbed applicators, Rollsroller and Roll X.

Zund's industry leading Swiss digital cutting system, the Zund G3, will also be on display.
