Horizon AF-406F joins more than 40 machines at Leicester trade house

Leading print finisher Clinical Print Finishers has taken delivery of a second Horizon folding machine from Intelligent Finishing Systems – an Horizon AF-406F.

The latest addition runs alongside more than 40 machines at the Leicester operation and joins an IFS supplied Horizon AFC 566F installed last December.

Operations director Alan Pickles visited Horizon’s European Head Quarters, Hamburg, in 2016 before making the first investment. This summer managing director Jamie Court and chairman Alvin Brown returned to decide on their latest purchase.

Alan stated, ‘We have been very happy with the performance and productivity of the Horizon AFC 566F over the last year. We have been able to grow our production with the success of the Horizon so it was an easy decision to choose another folder from the Horizon range.’

He continued, ‘This time we have gone for the AF-406F in an all buckle configuration with added options to suit our production and the work we have in mind for it.’

Clinical Print’s Horizon AF-406F is a JDF ready automated modular buckle folder. Its 6+6 buckle modular concept allows for simple to complex fold patterns that maximise folding variations. Its graphical colour touchscreen controls are intuitive for quick operator training and efficient operation while advanced and accurate automation helps reduce paper waste and energy consumption.

Alan concluded, ‘It was another smooth install from IFS and we look forward to working further with the team.’
