More than 50 companies welcomed at Renz International Seminar
Future innovation was the focus of Renz Gmbh’s recent knowledge sharing international seminar attended by more than 50 companies from its global distribution network.
Held at the specialist finishing equipment supplier’s headquarters in Heubach, Southern Germany, the three day event also welcomed representatives of daughter companies from the UK, Australia, Turkey and Argentina as well as global distributors.
The seminar featured presentations introducing latest innovations and both managing directors Raphael Barth and Michael Schubert highlighted Renz’s aim to maintain and further extend its leading role as a manufacturer of complete punching and binding solutions. In particular, they championed its aim to strengthen its position in the graphic industry among the growing number of digital and online printers.
During guided tours through the company, attendees gained an insight into the world’s largest production facility for wire comb binding. They were also able to inspect and operate Renz’s semi and fully automatic machine solutions. Experienced technicians and mechanics highlighted key advantages and explained technical details.
Delegates from the UK, Iain Bullock, Dermot Callaghan and Paul Simpson presented a brief history of their growing and very successful relationship with Argos the Belgian manufacturer of cold UV coating machines. Their presentation included video testimonials from James Belton, operational planning and solutions manager at Harrier LLC, and Funky Pigeon, Guernsey where Renz UK has recently installed Argos/Renz F400 Cold UV coaters. Renz has begun to roll out the sales of cold UV coating machines through their global distribution network.
Two gala evenings were enjoyed by all participants, the first in the traditional Waldschenke restaurant at the top of the Rosenstein, a historical rocky outcrop with spectacular views over the small town of Heubach. The second, a barbeque in the (famous to all visiting Renz customers) Altes Sudhaus in Heubach, saw delegates enjoyed a selection of beers from the local Heubacher brewery.
The International Seminar ended with details of a fresh marketing approach and new strategic developments including diversification into packaging and high security products. They will ensure Renz is a company ‘fit for the future’. The consistent message throughout the seminar was very positive and participants were able to share ideas and sales success stories from their respective countries.
