Sharp refreshes light production printers for improved productivity

Print Solutions

Sharp has announced that its new MX-7090N and MX-8090N colour printing systems are now available to buy. The two models are a refresh of the company’s light production line, offering in-house print environments improved productivity and a better user experience.

The new models have increased copy and print speeds of up to 80 pages per minute and scan speeds of up to 200 ipm to handle even the most demanding office and print room environments. Sharp’s customisable user interface, found on its A3 and A4 office products, has also been extended to its light production printers to make managing complex print jobs easier. This is simple to access and operate via an integrated 15.4 inch touchscreen.

Other time saving features include the ability to load more paper or toner at any time without ever needing to pause the print run, and the build up a collection of customised document, job and media profiles over time which can then be retrieved to make repeat jobs even quicker.

The wide range of input and finishing options available with the MX-7090N and MX-8090N mean that users have the flexibility to produce excellent quality materials tailored to the requirements of individual print jobs – whether it is a banner or a 20 page edge to edge booklet. This includes saddle stitching, curl correcting and a GBC SmartPunch system. The modular design also means the models can be easily upgraded as required.

Ben Lake, senior product manager, said: ‘Print jobs can come in at short notice, or a brief might change at the last minute, but it doesn’t mean businesses are willing to compromise on quality. We have introduced improvements to our light production series which ensure the highest professional quality results every time, no matter how big or small the job, while helping businesses to save time, cut costs and reduce waste.’

The MX-7090N and MX-8090N are available now through Sharp and its partners.
