Lamination upgrade helps John Dollin meet broad market demands

Whitchurch general commercial operation John Dollin Printing Services is addressing its increasingly broad market demands with investment in a Foliant Pollux 760SF high speed compact industrial laminating system from IFS.

The operation specialises in short run packaging and operates Heidelberg litho presses including a B1 Heidelberg XL 105 and a B2 XL 75. It completes digital print on an HP Indigo 1200, HP Indigo 7600 and a Linoprint.

Director Ian Dollin stated, ‘We chose the Foliant Pollux 760SF to manage work from the B1 press but it will handle output from all our print production systems.

‘We had an older laminator but it needed to be replaced. We just wanted something that was affordable and would provide high quality results. Reliability was also a very important factor.’

The Foliant Pollux 760SF is a high speed compact industrial laminating system. The heavy duty construction machine with a suction feeder and a high speed bump separator, features a walk-in service section and with an optional pallet feeder, a pallet stacker and an electric film loader/manipulator.

Ian added, ‘We did look at other options but the Foliant suited our demands and productivity needs. The footprint was a key consideration and it was the perfect sized system for us.’
