AB Graphic International joins forces with Kocher+Beck to acquire Enprom Packaging
Leading print finishing equipment designer and manufacturer ABG International has joined forces with Kocher+Beck, producers of precision cutting and printing tools for the print finishing industry, to acquire the Spanish labelling, converting and packaging equipment manufacturer, Enprom Packaging.
This new strategic alliance, between well established manufacturing and business partners, represents a major growth opportunity, as Mike Burton, managing director and owner of ABG International, explained: ‘ABG International and Kocher+Beck are successful, family led businesses, which are well established in the world of narrow web and converting.
‘We have worked successfully together for many years and we are confident that the time is right to lay the foundations of future growth by taking this important step together.
‘Acquiring Enprom offers an exciting opportunity for us to strengthen and expand our offerings in web based processing and will allow us to enter into new market segments, with reduced risk.’
Lars Beck, CEO and owner of Kocher+Beck, added: ‘I am impressed by the skills and experience of the Enprom team, which will help to speed up and streamline the development of the next generation of winding equipment.
‘At the same time, shared structures, synergies and a worldwide network of distribution partners will help all three businesses to be faster to market.’
Enprom Packaging is a young and dynamic business, led by a team of professionals with long standing experience of web handling within the flexible packaging, converting and labelling sector.
With highly qualified engineers, advanced manufacturing skills and the resources to design and build complex web-based processing equipment, the company has grown strongly in the last five years.
Enprom’s product range includes equipment for shrink sleeve converting, slitting and rewinding, label finishing, coating and lamination and hybrid converting.
