Pureprint Group first in uk to have two HP Indigo presses with silver Electroink technology

Print Solutions

Pureprint has upgraded two of its HP Indigo 7800s to 7900 digital presses. The installation took place last week and they are already in full operation.

Mark Handford, CEO of Pureprint, commented: ‘We finalised our upgrade with HP last Tuesday and by Thursday had the new presses installed and in full operation, enabling us to continue meeting our high levels of service to our valued customer base at this busy time. The new presses allow us to offer even more innovation in digital print with the addition of the silver ink to create a wide range of metallic colours and the highest quality colour output to match our state of the art litho operation.’

The HP Indigo 7900 has the benefit of digital ink primer and the new Silver ElectroInk opening up metallic printing. The Indigo technology uses ElectroInk which HP say has the widest digital colour gamut, in addition to special inks, using up to seven ink stations on press. This also allows the mixing of spot inks to achieve the widest colour gamut, reaching up to 97% of Pantone colours as well as metallic colours with the new Silver ElectroInk.

Peter Jolly, UK&I country manager for HP Indigo, said: ‘Pureprint Group has been a pioneer in the world of digital print. Innovation is in its bloodstream and it has always been keen to stay ahead of the game. The recent investment makes them the first customer in the UK with our new Silver ElectroInk specified on two HP Indigo 7900 presses.’
