Konica Minolta extends use of renewable electricity

Having set its goal of procuring 100% of its electricity from renewable sources by 2050, Konica Minolta has now announced that two further companies are to use eco electricity from January 2020 onwards. This concerns all locations in Austria (Konica Minolta Business Solutions Austria GmbH) and one production site in Jiangsu province in China, producing mainly multi-functional peripherals (MFPs) and digital printing systems (Konica Minolta Business Technologies (WUXI) Co Ltd).

Underlining its commitment to a sustainable future, Konica Minolta joined RE100 in February 2019, a global leadership initiative bringing together influential businesses committed to sourcing 100% renewable power for their global operations by 2050. This is in line with the company’s approach to contributing to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, such as combatting climate change.

Besides all locations in Austria and the production site in Jiangsu province in China, the European headquarters in Langenhagen, Germany, (Konica Minolta Business Solutions Europe GmbH), all locations in Germany (Konica Minolta Business Solutions Deutschland GmbH), all locations in the UK (Konica Minolta Business Solutions (UK) Ltd) and one production site in Guangdong province in China, (Konica Minolta Business Technologies (DONGGUAN) Co Ltd) also use 100% of their electricity from renewable resources.

Konica Minolta Business Technologies (WUXI) Co Ltd was also certified as a Clean Production Company by Wuxi City in 2017, making the company a leader in environmental stewardship in China.
