DataLase to showcase cutting edge coding solutions at Packaging Innovations

Packaging Solutions

DataLase will be using this year’s Packaging Innovations to showcase advances in its award winning, proprietary technologies. The company is exhibiting on stand J10 at the event, which takes place at Birmingham’s NEC on 26 and 27 February 2020.

With production environments becoming increasingly challenging, both brand owners and converters alike are demanding more robust, high contrast data coding to ensure compliance and traceability of products and packaging. DataLase will therefore focus on its highly efficient and sustainable case and product coding solutions that are designed to meet these requirements.

The company’s case coding solution for corrugate and SRP applications is incredibly impressive. Combining novel laser technology with unique colour change pigments to create high resolution, high contrast print, the case coding solution delivers an inkless printing revolution that drives efficiency. ‘Visitors to the DataLase stand can see the technology in real time as an advanced Case Coding laser will be in situ throughout the show,’ said DataLase’s sales director, Michael Toner. ‘Live demonstrations will underline the sustainability benefits, ease of use and the impressively high quality results that can be achieved.

'Our Case Coding Solution is a highly efficient and advanced method of applying variable information onto corrugated boxes – including shipping information, barcodes, date/lot codes and sequential batch numbers,’ added Mike. 'As this year’s event has a particular focus on sustainability, we saw it as an ideal opportunity to demonstrate how the technology can provide a reduction of up to 16.8% in carbon emissions when compared to alternative solutions.’

DataLase’s product coding solutions are equally impressive. Food and beverage, home and personal care, industrial and pharmaceutical brands can benefit from the integration of an efficient laser marking system, which provides a high contrast, consistently readable result onto a variety of substrates. The solution, which offers a range of advantages, including proven reliability, flexibility and high quality product coding, consistently outperforms other coding methods.

The company will also be using the event to provide an insight into its yet to be commercialised consumer engagement innovations – VareLase Label and VareLase Cup Solutions – both of which utilise DataLase’s Photonic Printing technology.
