The Big Display Company adapts during coronavirus

Print Solutions: Positive About Print

The Big Display Company has secured funding from Santander UK and the government’s Coronavirus Business Interruption Loan Scheme (CBILS) to support the business through uncertainty caused by the pandemic.

Based in Slough, The Big Display Company was founded in 1998 and supplies large print exhibition and event materials. The business has built a strong reputation with customers ranging from local printers up to international marketing agencies.

With sports events, exhibitions and events on hold, the company quickly pivoted to designing and producing social distancing information display products and protective barriers to help keep customers and retail employees safe. New products for those working from home include bespoke video call backwalls.

Jack Murphy at The Big Display Company said: ‘The whole team has pulled together in our response to coronavirus. Santander’s support during the application process and through this finance package means that we have been able to continue servicing our customers during times of lower demand. As the industry picks up, we will be able to quickly scale up again and continue producing large volumes of banners, flags and exhibition graphics, as well as social distancing graphics.’

Simon Ambrose, relationship director at Santander UK, commented: ‘We are pleased to support The Big Display Company as it navigates the uncertainty caused by coronavirus. Its quick response and the variety of ways it is tackling these uncertain times is testament to the tenacity and creative thinking of the team.’

Santander UK is hosting a series of free ‘Survive and Revive’ webinars for SMEs on how to bolster their business proposition. Covering a range of topics from innovating effectively to aligning purpose and culture, the company’s experts delve into some of the ways that businesses have adjusted, and thrived, since the outbreak of Coronavirus.
