AA Labels speeds up customer productivity with new Quick Order service

Label Solutions

Thanks to a new service launched by Peterborough based AA Labels, businesses will now be able to benefit from time and cost efficiencies thanks to a new online label ordering service which allows customers to search labels by printer compatibility.

Customers using the new Quick Order service for plain and printed label orders can input their requirements via straightforward steps which eliminate time costly mistakes, supported by a fast checkout option. The service works by identifying the correct label type for a customer’s printer using a new search option. This ensures the correct product is selected for each order as it matches the correct printer with the most compatible type of plain or printed labels.

The new process will eliminate costly printing mistakes and speed up the fulfilment of orders, increasing productivity and potential for improved customer revenue streams.

The service, which has only recently launched, supports a wide range of label types, including cryogenic, heat resistant and waterproof, in addition to various types of adhesives. Customers can also make selections for various types of label embellishments such as hot foils across several colour options, screen printing, emboss and deboss. Sequential and variable data options are also available, as is AA Labels’ creative design service.

The selection process has been made as quick, simple and precise as possible with an online database to assist with the checking and specification of labels, including thermal printer labels. The database covers the most popular models from a vast range of manufacturers, including Citizen, Primera, Sato, Wasp and Zebra. Simply select the manufacturer and printer model from the list and the selection of available compatible labels sizes, roll quantities and materials to suit both direct-thermal and thermal transfer printers will appear.

The company’s Shoaib Akram commented, ‘We have introduced this service as a result of feedback from customers who were looking for a much simpler and quicker ordering process. By matching up plain and printed label options with printer models, we are helping customers to eliminate timely mistakes and speed up the whole order process. The quicker we can fulfil an order, the quicker the customer can use the labels and therefore sell their product.

‘The initial feedback has been very positive, and we see the new service supporting AA Labels growth in 2023.’

The new service also takes into account any requirements for registration mark printing. This is where some label printers have a ‘reflective’ sensor that relies on black block registration lines or marks printed on the back of the label liner. The width of the black mark is synchronized with the label size to tell the printer when to print label to label. Black marks are beneficial when labels or tags are ‘butt cut’ and separated only by a perforation or face cut. Black marks, sensing slots or notches are usually necessary when printing clear labels where there is no contrast between label and liner.

AA Labels new Quick Order service offers plain and printed labels on A5, A4, A3 SRA3 and rolls. This new facility complements the existing online option of its Express Print Service and successful Click & Collect Se
