When Leeds based Facer. Progressive Printed Packaging was approached by artisan family run bakery Reids of Caithness to produce its packaging for The Scottish Shortbread Collection, a minimalist approach to brand storytelling was taken.

Each packaging colour chosen denotes the flavours of the rich, buttery shortbread. Achieved with sustainable vegetable oil based Pantone spot colours and metallics, and finished with Foilco satin foil, the packaging subtly tells the consumer of the high quality, luxurious nature of these baked goods.

This is elevated further with a nod to the proud Scottish heritage through a tartan design, including a perfectly inset diamond aperture, revealing the mouth watering shortbread inside.
