Asahi Photoproducts has been honoured with the Sustainability Excellence Award by the Flexographic Technical Association (FTA) for its AFP-R Reduced Solvent CleanPrint flexographic plates. This award highlights the company’s commitment to sustainability and innovation in the printing and packaging industry.

The AFP-R plates mark a significant milestone on Asahi’s Road to Solvent Zero, reducing solvent use by 30% and increasing plate drying speed by 50%. By using these plates, high quality prints with a lower environmental impact, cutting down on energy use and makeready time can be achieved.

The AFP-R plate is a solvent washable plate with reduced environmental impact and improved pre-press and press productivity.

This is a hard flexo plate for high quality flexible packaging, label and paper applications, featuring several improvements when compared to a standard solvent wash plate.
