BoxWay Packaging Group has appointed two highly skilled new employees at its Exeter site.

Vince McDermott takes the position of operations director and Gabriel Ciubotariu becomes production manager, both to be based at the company’s Sowton Industrial Estate manufacturing site.

As operations director, Vince’s initial focus for an interim six month basis will be on production, QHSE, logistics and engineering, although he will eventually take over responsibility for the additional operational functions also. Vince is an extremely experienced operations professional and joins BoxWay Packaging Group from SFL in Barnstaple. He previously worked for many years in corrugated packaging with DS Smith and Atlas Packaging.Â

In his new role as production manager, Gabriel Ciubotariu will initially focus on production performance, ensuring the production plan is executed on a daily basis as well as managing staffing on the shopfloor. Gabriel has considerable experience in production management having formerly worked for many years in packaging. Gabriel joins from Welton & Bibby in Westbury and previously worked for many years in corrugated packaging with Westbury packaging and Ecopack in Romania.
