The British Coatings Federation (BCF) has been named trade association of the year at the 2026 Trade Association Forum (TAF) Awards, reaffirming its position as one of the UK’s leading and consistently high performing trade bodies. This latest win adds to BCF’s strong track record at the TAF Awards, having previously secured multiple wins across various categories in recognition of its leadership, member engagement, and impact across the coatings, inks, and wallcoverings sectors.

In addition to winning the headline award, the BCF was highly commended in the event of the year (under 500 attendees) category for its 2025 Charity Cycle: Ride Warwickshire, which raised over £25,000 for The Myton Hospices.

Tom Bowtell, chief executive of the British Coatings Federation, said: ‘We are incredibly proud to be named trade association of the year once again. This award reflects the engagement of our members and the collaborative spirit that drives everything we do. I am so lucky to work with such a dedicated and talented team – everyone has contributed to making us such a brilliant organisation that I am so proud to lead.’

BCF’s repeated success at the awards underscores its long standing commitment to championing the coatings industry, supporting members through policy engagement, sustainability initiatives, skills development, and best practice programmes.
