C&T Matrix introduces a reusable platen cleaner to restore die cutting performance

C&T Matrix has expanded its portfolio of die cutting solutions with the addition of a platen cleaner, a reusable device designed to remove contamination from platen surfaces and help converters maintain optimum machine performance.

In carton converting environments, platen surfaces can gradually be affected by a build up of carton board dust, oil residue, oxidation, and rust. Over time, this contamination can impact registration accuracy, increase make ready times and lead to excessive patch up, reducing overall production efficiency.

The platen cleaner has been engineered to tackle these challenges, restoring heavily oxidised, rust stained and contaminated platens to a clean, smooth working condition. By removing accumulated deposits without compromising platen integrity, the device helps converters maintain consistent die cutting performance while extending the working life of valuable equipment.

The cleaner can be reused with only the cleaning pads needing to be replaced. It removes build ups and rust, resulting in a more efficient production process, with less downtime and improved machine productivity.

To provide complete visibility during the cleaning process, the device can be used alongside an endoscope camera probe, enabling operators to inspect hard to reach areas.
