Cartor Security Printers, a global leader in high security printing, has been awarded a significant five year contract to produce definitive postage stamps for Swiss Post, the national postal service of Switzerland.
The 'four plus one’ contract, which marks a new client partnership for Cartor, is expected to generate revenues of between $3 million and $4 million over its term, subject to demand and additional options.

The contract followed a competitive tendering process, with Cartor’s selection based on its outstanding track record in quality, competitive pricing, environmental credentials and innovative technology. A key factor in the successful bid was its pioneering work in hybrid stamp solutions featuring 2-D barcode serialisation – an innovation that substantially reduces counterfeiting and stamp reuse losses.
Based in the UK, Cartor Security Printers has been at the forefront of secure print for over 40 years, supplying governments, postal authorities and brand owners worldwide. Renowned for its expertise in security print, authentication features and high quality design, the company has produced stamps for over 180 postal administrations and is one of the few printers globally capable of combining traditional craftsmanship with advanced technological solutions.
Andrew Brigham, managing director, said: ‘We are extremely pleased that Swiss Post has placed its trust in Cartor to support it with its security printing requirements. A key differentiator in this tender was our experience in developing and implementing hybrid stamp solutions with 2-D barcode serialisation.’
