Koehler Group held its traditional children’s Christmas party once again this year and made sure to invite the children of all employees at its German sites of Oberkirch, Kehl, Willstätt, and Weisenbach to an enchanted evening.

Around 500 children were gifted and got to experience a magical event with their families that mirrored everyone’s excitement in anticipation of Christmas. And to match the joyful energy, the Erwin-Braun-Halle venue in Oberkirch was transformed into a festive backdrop for an unforgettable experience.
For over 100 years, the kid’s Christmas party has been an essential part of the Koehler Group’s annual event calendar. And while employees are no Grinches, it is their children who come away from the celebration with profound joy in their hearts every single year. It was incumbent on the company then to once again turn the venue into a dazzling winter world with Christmas trees, lights, and the smell of Christmas punch for kids. And it was incumbent on Koehler’s very own St Nick and his helper Knecht Ruprecht to kick off the proceedings with musical backing by the Koehler Group company band!
After this welcome, CEO Kai Furler addressed both young and old with a few personal words before highlighting just how special this particular celebration is to him: ‘Our kids’ Christmas is very close to my heart. It is much more than just a nice tradition – it is a space for all of us to meet and enjoy our mutual company and appreciate each other outside of our day to day work. It is something that truly links us all together, and it is part of why I am so happy to see so many children celebrating with us today!’
This was followed by a round of magical entertainment by Ernestin the Magician, who delighted both children and adults with his astounding tricks and oodles of charisma. The kids then all joined in singing popular Christmas songs while the company band played.
The event not only allowed everyone to have an evening full of fun and entertainment, but also provided the opportunity for people to meet and have pleasant chats in a friendly family environment. And to cap the evening, every child received a gift and a chocolate Santa to go with it. In addition, the party in Oberkirch was not the only one, as another children’s Christmas party was held at the company’s site in the German town of Greiz in order to honour this invaluable tradition for the children of Koehler employees everywhere.
