Color-Logic is celebrating 17 years of innovation and excellence in the print industry this year. Established by Richard Ainge and Mark Geeves, it has revolutionised how printers and brands approach special effects in print, making embellishment predictable, reliable, and accessible around the world.
Since its founding, the company has expanded its offerings, enabling designers and printers to produce 924 distinct metallic colours plus a comprehensive range of embellishment effects. The system works seamlessly with any printing process using silver and CMYK ink or toner on paper, or white and CMYK ink or toner on metallic stock, providing unmatched versatility for both substrates and print platforms.
In addition, Color-Logic supports conventional colour foil printing with flexographic and offset printing, as well as digital cold foiling processes such as sleeking. It also enables hybrid printing processes for print embellishment, ensuring that clients can leverage a wide array of production techniques to achieve stunning results.

Currently supported by more than 150 digital printers and presses, the process serves clients in 75 countries with distribution worldwide. Label and packaging applications are the largest market for print embellishment, with some of the world’s leading brands relying on Color-Logic technology to make their products stand out on the shelf.
In 2015, the company further expanded its offerings by distributing Touch7 technology, enabling extended gamut and neon colour printing, and allowing graphic designers and printers to explore new creative boundaries and deliver even greater eye catching results.
Throughout its history, Color-Logic has played a pivotal role in shaping the marketing language around print embellishment, highlighting the importance of differentiation in the print market, where so much of print is forgettable. Since its founding, it has equipped graphic designers and printers with the tools to create memorable, demand driving print. The technology is trusted by some of the largest brands in the world.
