ColorGate Digital Output Solutions has released version 26 of its software for RIP, colour management, and digital print automation. This new version of Productionserver and Filmgate introduces enhancements designed to improve production efficiency, workflow automation, and colour consistency in large format and industrial digital printing. Along with significant performance improvements, the release features a redesigned Industrial Productionserver portfolio that provides application specific software packages tailored to the needs of industrial printing environments.

A key focus of version 26 is increasing productivity in high volume production environments. The software accelerates the processing of multipage PDF files by automatically distributing large jobs across multiple RIP processes. Previously, operators often had to split large PDF files manually to reduce processing times. By automating this process, version 26 significantly shortens RIP times while reducing manual job preparation.

Another workflow enhancement is the new option to process even and odd pages in multipage PDF files. This feature is now available in both individual job settings and hotfolders, enabling more efficient automated workflows for duplex production and other multi-stage print applications while minimising operator intervention.

For industrial printing environments, version 26 introduces the ‘Linearization Assistant Plus’ module for Industrial Productionserver. It combines Base Linearization with ColorGate's established linearisation and profiling technologies. This solution allows operators to compensate for gradual printhead wear and other production related deviations with a single measurement. It restores colour consistency without requiring new printer profiles, minimising downtime and helping maintain consistent production quality, especially in demanding industrial and decorative printing environments.

Version 26 also introduces the new Industrial Productionserver Essential portfolio. This new product family streamlines ColorGate's industrial offerings by replacing various previous configurations with standardised software packages tailored to specific application areas. The four editions –Ceramic PS Essential, Décor PS Essential, Packaging PS Essential, and Textile PS Essential – provide comprehensive functionality for their respective markets, making the portfolio easier to understand, deploy, and maintain.

Version 26 further supports modern production environments by updating the integrated Adobe PDF Print Engine to Version 7.1. This update improves compatibility with the latest PDF standards and Adobe Creative Cloud applications. The release also expands hardware support with new drivers for printers from leading manufacturers.

‘Innovation only creates value when it makes production more efficient. With version 26, we address the daily challenges our customers face, from accelerating data processing and reducing manual effort to maintaining consistent colour quality. The result is a release that helps customers improve productivity, increase process reliability, and maximise the value of their existing production environments,’ said CEO Oliver Luedtke.

Version 26 is available immediately.
