Creation Reprographics has purchased an Esko CDI Crystal XPS 4260 system to meet rising market demand for quality pre-press services.
The combined flexo plate imager and exposure unit has arrived at the company’s Northampton base. The CDI Crystal XPS 4260 Quartz ready, capable of handling flexo plates up to 42”x 60”, consolidates imaging and exposure processes into a single automated workflow, delivering up to 50% reduction in manual steps and 73% reduction in operator time. This, combined with the solvent free processing, delivers extremely rapid speed to market.

Matt Francklow, managing director at Creation, said: ‘We are pleased to strengthen our partnership with Esko, which remains our technology partner of choice for delivering exceptional pre-press services to our customers. The CDI Crystal XPS system in particular provides a major step forward in our ability to support printers with speed, precision and consistency. As such, having the CDI Quartz ready is a no brainer and futureproofs the technology we can supply to our clients, should they need it.’
The new system reinforces Creation's commitment to sustainable pre-press operations. By supporting solvent free plate processing workflows, the CDI Crystal XPS 4260 eliminates VOC emissions from the platemaking process, helping customers strengthen their environmental credentials whilst maintaining exceptional print quality. Combined with reduced waste and the system's efficient automation, the investment aligns perfectly with Creation's position as a sustainability first pre-press partner.
Matt added, ‘As we look ahead to the future, it is essential that we invest in the best technology available, while supporting our sustainability ethos. Esko’s market leading solutions align perfectly with our vision for the future of sustainable, effective pre-press, so this decision was easy to make.’
