Esko announces new UK events to help drive efficiency in packaging

Packaging Solutions

Esko will give converter and brand packaging professionals from across the UK an exclusive look at its newest innovations at events to be held next month.

At events in London on Tuesday 24 June, and in Sheffield on Thursday 26 June, the company will present its latest solutions specifically designed to drive efficiency, sustainability, and profitability in the packaging industry – hot on the heels of the global debut of its latest advanced technology at its annual Esko World event in St Louis, USA.

‘As well as being an opportunity for UK packaging professionals to get an exclusive early look at these latest solutions, the Esko on Tour events will also be packed with expert insight and networking opportunities,’ said Jan De Roeck, chief marketing officer with Esko.

Among the presenters will be Benjamin Punchard, global packaging insights director with Mintel, who will detail how packaging is driving innovation in 2025, and Peter MacQueen, associate head Sheffield Creative Industries Institute, Sheffield Hallam University, who will examine packaging innovation in the age of sustainability.

‘With quality now a given and customers placing more and more demand on their suppliers, such as ever shortening lead times, shorter runs and more sophisticated designs – all while being mindful of sustainability objectives – converters are constantly having to deal with numerous complex challenges in their operations,’ said Jan. ‘At each of these two UK events, attendees will learn how to tackle these challenges and deliver measurable sustainability gains and drive efficiency with AI based solutions. We will explore new tools designed to improve CSR activities and empower packaging production excellence, and take a close look at how to manage colour consistency in today’s production.’

‘We will also hear best practice and success stories from a number of customers and industry experts,’ added Jan. ‘An exhibition area will take visitors on a deep dive into each of the new innovations that will have been unveiled at Esko World just a couple of weeks beforehand, and a plenary session will lay out how these solutions will deliver tangible benefits to any business.’

Esko on Tour is a free event open to all UK packaging professionals including brands working in packaging design, artwork, and labelling management as well as label, flexible packaging and folding carton converters and pre-media. Seats are limited and places are allocated on a first come, first served basis.

The free events will be held at the following UK venues:24 June 2025 – Chelsea Stadium, London, followed by networking tour of the stadium.26 June 2025 – Sheffield Hallam University, Sheffield.
