First Ever London Packaging Week hailed a success

Packaging Solutions

The packaging community’s new home in the capital, London Packaging Week, has been hailed a success by visitors and exhibitors alike. Thousands of people flocked to Olympia to attend the highly anticipated event.

Once there, visitors discovered the latest innovations in packaging across every sector through its four co-located exhibitions – Packaging Première for the luxury packaging sector, PCD for beauty and personal care, PLD for wine, spirits and premium drinks and Food & Consumer Pack for the food, drink and FMCG markets. Plus, they heard from the pioneers tackling the industry’s most pressing issues head on, including sustainability, new government legislation, and inclusive packaging, at the event’s new look seminar programme.

The Big Debate also made its return to London Packaging Week after previous sessions at Packaging Innovations London, taking an honest view of whether the UK population can afford the government’s packaging reforms.

Elsewhere, the show floor presented a line up up of packaging concepts, with The Pentawards and Innovations Showcase galleries providing inspiration to visitors. Whilst the breadth of exhibitors taking part further allowed visitors to find solutions to all their packaging challenges.

Renan Joel, managing director of Easyfairs’ Packaging Division, said: ‘London Packaging Week has truly created a new home for the packaging community in London. It felt like the right time to re-evaluate our Packaging Innovations and Luxury Packaging London event, and it is fantastic to see everyone embrace the new future of packaging in London. The show has been a buzz of interesting conversations on the future of the industry, whilst old and new connections have formed, and visitors have left armed with new contacts to power their packaging in all sectors, from FMCG to the crème de la crème of luxury.’

The next Easyfairs packaging event will be Packaging Innovations and Empack 2023, which takes place at NEC Birmingham on 15 and 16 February.
