Koehler Paper and Fujifilm are stepping up their collaborative efforts in the area of premium printing solutions, with the press manufacturer recently testing a variety of paper grades on its printing machines. The result: exceptional results and top quality print samples.

The tests focused both on premium recycled paper and fine paper options from Koehler Paper including ivory board, Icewhite IQ, and the following greenium brand offerings: Koehler Eco Paper, creative print, creative board, and Colorline IQ. The goal was to test the performance of these paper solutions in demanding printing processes under real life conditions and verify their suitability for premium applications.

Among other things, the results corroborate the excellent printability and performance characteristics of every single grade that was tested. In fact, both the premium recycled paper and fine paper options left a strong impression in regard to their vibrant colour reproduction, surface properties, and suitability for subsequent processing. Moreover, the print samples from the tests show that Koehler Paper offers a broad portfolio that meets even the most stringent printability and quality requirements out there.

‘These tests confirm that our paper products work reliably and deliver premium results even in demanding digital printing applications,’ said Marco Lang, director of fine paper at Koehler Paper. ‘Together with Fujifilm, we were able to demonstrate that we have a broad variety of paper options that not only can be optimally processed on cutting edge printing systems, but also deliver excellent results.’

‘Using our Revoria toner digital presses in combination with Koehler’s paper products ensures that our customers will get stable processes and consistently high printing quality. A number of factors contribute to this, including the fact that our Revoria Press SC285S and EC2100S systems use new transfer technologies that provide for significantly better image quality while minimising transfer defects. And on top of that, our specialty toners provide our customers with substantial added value, since they can be replaced quickly and easily and can be used as a fifth ‘colour’ (pink, silver, gold, white, or textured) that is printed over the corresponding CMYK layer. Needless to say, that is an advantage, and every single one of those counts in what is becoming an increasingly demanding and sophisticated market,’ added Marc Salewski, key account POD south – direct and dealer channel.
