EyeC GmbH impressed international trade visitors at drupa with its innovative solutions and latest developments. The focus was on the new EyeC ProofRunner options for AI based defect classification and the new EyeC Proofiler 1200 DT.
EyeC presented the diversity of its product and service portfolio for automated quality control throughout the entire design and printing process. The presentation of the ProofRunner Web was a crowd puller. Installed on the Bobcat S rewinder from French machine supplier DCM, the in line inspection system guarantees super fast and precise 100% print inspection for labels and flexible packaging with web widths of up to 1700 mm. New options for the entire ProofRunner line were presented for the first time, impressively demonstrating the power of AI based defect classification. Thanks to precise defect classification based on the image content, relevant defects can be identified more clearly and brought to the operator's attention.
Another trade fair highlight was the new EyeC Proofiler 1200 DT presentation. In addition to technical improvements for optimised speed, handling, and ease of maintenance, the scanner based inspection solution with its fresh design sets new standards in the quality control of large format print samples. Live demonstrations of the ProofRunner Carton HighLight in line inspection system were also presented on a folding carton gluing machine from partner Kohmann as well as demos of the Proofiler Graphic artwork proofreading software, which enables the automatic comparison of print ready files or step and repeat files with approved artwork.
‘Even after an eight year break, drupa once again impressed with an innovation show that offered us a unique platform for personal exchange with the international trade audience from the print and packaging industry. The overwhelming interest in our innovative solutions – also in terms of sustainability – and the promising contract conclusions have exceeded our expectations. This successful conclusion to the trade fair not only confirms our leading position in the field of print image inspection, but also emphasises the great importance of quality control in the print and packaging industry,’ said Markus Fietkau, sales director at EyeC.
