Sylvamo’s Nymölla mill is the home of the Multicopy and Berga Jet brands.
Founded in 1962, Nymölla is a pulp and paper mill that produces uncoated fine papers. The mill is located in southern Sweden, in Nymölla village between the Baltic Sea and the Lake Ivö and employs over 500 employees.

This mill proudly produces paper with low greenhouse gas emissions.
The majority of Nymölla’s wood is sourced from within a 90 km radius of the mill and mostly comes from forest thinnings and wood residues from local sawmills. Nymölla is almost self-sufficient in heat energy and 40 % of the electrical energy is produced at the mill. The remaining energy is from grid electricity which is low carbon in Sweden.
Energy company Gasum built a biogas plant at Nymölla mill which turns the mill’s residue water into the renewable energy liquefied biogas (LBG).
It all starts with a tree growing in a sustainably managed forest.
In the process of turning wood into paper, water from the Skräbe river is used and then gradually removed in both the pulp and paper making process.
A stream of residue water is pumped into a reactor where liquefied biogas is produced.
The LBG is stored in an insulated tank before it is pumped to trailers and transported to gas stations where it is used to fuel heavy duty vehicles.
By using LBG instead of diesel, the greenhouse gas emissions can be reduced by up to 90%.
The entire Multicopy family of papers is produced at FSC chain of custody certified Nymölla mill. Multicopy is made from wood sourced from responsibly managed forests. The production process at the mill generates low CO₂ emissions and the carbon footprint of an average A4 ream produced at Nymolla is just 0.877 kg CO₂ (calculated from cradle to mill gate).
All Multicopy papers feature ColorLok technology, providing prints that are crisp, clear, and free from smears and blurs. Multicopy is manufactured to the ISO 9706 standard for permanent papers, and is highly resistance to tears, oxidation and contamination.
The paper comes in a grammage range of 75 to 160 g/m2. It is suitable for laser, inkjet, multipurpose, digital printing and pre-printing.
Berga Jet is a woodfree uncoated high speed inkjet paper designed for use in pigment ink and dye based production inkjet printers.
