Kodak has released version 11.5 of the web based Prinergy Insite Portals that provide authorised users with 24 hours a day, seven days a week access from anywhere in the world. The new version brings various enhancements to the Prinergy Insite Prepress Portal (IPP) and the Prinergy Insite Creative Workflow (ICW).
Prinergy Insite Prepress Portal serves as a web gateway to the pre-press environment. It facilitates customer file uploads to the Prinergy Workflow and allows print companies and their clients to track progress, collaborate on changes, and proof and approve work. With Prinergy Insite Creative Workflow, printers can offer their customers, as well as brands and designers, a task based, collaborative environment that streamlines design creation, asset management, and approval cycles.

The new version offers new actions for the solution’s rules based automation (RBA), which ensures a more streamlined customer review and approval process to accelerate decision making. Other highlights of version 11.5 include features for faster job management and increased productivity, synchronisation of e-mail addresses across systems to prevent inconsistencies, and updated libraries and support for the latest macOS, making the use of Kodak Matchprint Virtual soft proofing more responsive and stable. In addition, strengthened IIS (internet information services) configurations provide increased security and performance for the Insite Portals.
‘The introduction of Prinergy Insite Portals version 11.5 exemplifies Kodak's commitment to continuous innovation of our pre-press and print software ecosystem, helping printers to effectively adapt to evolving customer requirements,’ said Jim Barnes, chief IT implementation officer. ‘With this upgrade, Prinergy Insite Portal users benefit from data security improvements, performance increases, and service and support benefits. As a result, they can offer their clients a safer and more convenient online collaboration experience and produce jobs more efficiently and profitably.’
