Kodak launches Prosper Plus 5 Imprinting System

Kodak has launched the Prosper Plus 5 Imprinting System, expanding its portfolio with a 152 metres per minute solution that adds Kodak Stream Inkjet Technology to existing presses and finishing lines.

 Designed for printers and converters, the Prosper Plus 5 enables variable data printing, coding, serialisation, personalisation and versioning without replacing current equipment, giving them the flexibility to expand into higher margin applications, respond faster to changing customer demands and generate new revenue from assets they already own.

With 600 x 900 dpi resolution, flexible drop size options and enhanced reliability, the Prosper Plus 5 supports applications including direct mail, packaging, security printing, lottery and personal care, enabling printers pursue higher value work from existing production assets.

Powered by Stream Technology and Kodak Ektacolor inks, the new imprinting system combines image quality, speed and operational simplicity with the latest Prosper Plus platform enhancements that are designed to improve serviceability, streamline connectivity and maximise up time in demanding production environments.

Kodak is also simplifying its existing portfolio by renaming Prosper Plus 1/1W and Plus 2/2W to Prosper Plus 10 and Plus 20, reflecting production speeds of 305 metres per minute and 609 metres per minute. Together with the Kodak Prosper Print Bar, the family gives printers and converters scalable imprinting options. Existing Prosper S-Series customers will continue to receive full service support, with upgrade options available as production needs evolve.
