Konica Minolta and Focus Label Machinery celebrate first year of partnership success

Print Solutions Label Solutions

Konica Minolta Business Solutions (UK) and Focus Label Machinery are celebrating their first year of partnership success having supplied a number of AccurioLabel presses to UK customers, including the AccurioLabel 230. Among these customers are BSP Labels Ltd, Vista Labels Ltd and Arc Labels Ltd. Focus Label Machinery has also invested in an AccurioLabel 230 demonstration system at its facility in Bingham, Nottinghamshire, to showcase its full range of capabilities to other print companies.

Focus Label Machinery’s company director David Lee commented, ‘With a considerable market interest in short run, high quality label solutions, these presses have already proven to be popular, so much so that we have also installed our own demonstration system so we can enable customers to have a one to one hands-on demonstration with us and the Konica Minolta team.’

Along with AccurioLabel presses, Focus Label Machinery’s demonstration centre also includes a high specification Proflex 330SE flexo press with various options, the dFlex inkjet Hybrid press, a Reflex 330 digital finishing system, and an assortment of label finishing solutions.

Jon Pritchard, label, packaging, and inkjet consultant at Konica Minolta Business Solutions (UK), also commented: ‘For commercial printers looking to get into labels, this is one of the only centres in the country that has all the technologies and experts on hand to demonstrate a number of complementary technology options together, with full scope for scalability and customisation, all in one place. As a UK manufacturer with full UK support in its own right, and an expert in its own field for more than 40 years, Focus Label Machinery has a wealth of experience and expertise, along with long standing relationships with label printers across the UK, which means it is perfectly placed to help educate and advise commercial printers on the best solutions and technology combinations for their needs.’

Antony Cotton, technical sales manager at Focus Label Machinery, further commented: ‘There is truly a two way collaborative partnership between Focus Label Machinery and Konica Minolta, which is highly beneficial to both parties, and also gives customers full reassurance that they have the support they need. This has been a key part of our joint success over the last 12 months, and we are very excited to see what this year has in store for our close partnership.’

David Lee added, ‘Being able to offer Konica Minolta’s digital solutions, with the full support of the team, has undoubtedly opened new business streams for us. We have enjoyed a noticeable increase in demonstration requests and have an impressive pipeline of interest from commercial printers looking to enter the labels space and value the consultative approach that we pride ourselves on delivering. With new innovations such as Konica Minolta’s web to print solutions, there are considerable opportunities for commercial printers looking to open new revenue streams and we have the full demonstration facilities to showcase the options available.’
