Kyocera Document Solutions UK Group has announced the appointment of Andrew Smith as managing director and general manager. Andrew, formerly chief information and strategy officer, will lead the group, including Annodata and MCL, as it continues its evolution and next phase of growth.

With deep expertise across print, ICT, and cybersecurity, he brings a blend of technical and commercial acumen with a profound understanding of Kyocera’s heritage. Over several years, he has successfully transformed the company’s managed service offering and was instrumental in the incubation of Kyocera Cyber from 2023 to its launch in 2025, a division he will continue to champion in his new role.
He said, ‘It is a privilege to lead Kyocera into this next chapter. My focus is on ensuring our managed services remain rooted in genuine customer value, delivered in close collaboration with our talented team and channel partners. As we move into 2026, we will double down on our heritage of innovation, forging new value in our core print market while aggressively scaling our IT and cybersecurity capabilities. With a strengthened leadership team and renewed momentum in our channel strategy, Kyocera is uniquely positioned to serve the market.’
In addition to this appointment, Steve Doust has been named group sales director (direct sales), while Suki Purewal takes on the role of group service and operations director. These appointments follow the return of Pete Lunn as indirect sales lead in November 2025, solidifying a leadership team built for Kyocera’s growth strategy for 2026 and beyond.
This strategic alignment accelerates the company’s evolution, bridging its core print heritage with its expanding IT and cybersecurity portfolio. The new structure is designed to deliver a more comprehensive, value added service to customers and channel partners while deepening relationships with dealers nationwide.
Steve Doust brings over 30 years of expertise to his role, where he will lead a revitalised strategy focused on managed print services, production print, and Kyocera’s Business Solutions (IT and cyber) portfolio.
Suki Purewal, an industry veteran with over 25 years at Kyocera, sees his remit expanded to include service and project management. By aligning these functions with logistics and operations, Suki will focus on streamlining processes and further enhancing the quality of service delivery.
Yuji Doura will continue to serve within Kyocera Document Solutions UK, leveraging his strong relationship with the headquarters in Japan to support Andrew Smith in his new role, while contributing from his newly defined position as business transformation director.
Yuji Doura said, ‘Andrew, Steve, Suki and Pete all bring deep knowledge of the print, IT and cybersecurity markets to the table, as well as a keen awareness of what channel partners and customers want. With Andrew at the helm and such breadth of experience alongside him, we are confident that we will continue our growth as a market leading managed services provider throughout 2026 and beyond.’
