Laserline switches to Countamat from C&T Channel Matrix

Packaging Solutions

Chelmsford based Laserline Dies has switched to Pertinax Counter Sheet – Countamat – from C&T Channel Matrix (C&T).

Countamat is a high quality durable counter material that offers cleaner cutting, longevity, and antistatic properties. It can be easily milled and has superior dimensional stability. Supplied as 1070 x 1040 mm sheets, Countamat is a new type of counter die material consisting of a two-layer fine woven glass cloth. The dense cloth weave ensures durability on press and clean channel cutting, whilst also helping to extend the life of the tool.

Developed by C&T for cleaner routing and long run durability, Countamat is available with or without an easy peelable adhesive backing. It is a tried and trusted product among several distributors and customers, including pharmaceutical, food and beverage, tobacco, and cosmetic packaging users.

Howard Mead, group commercial director at C&T Matrix, said: ‘We are delighted that Laserline Dies has recently switched all its Countermat material to C&T. Countamat comes in a range of thicknesses and its superior stability and durability makes it ideal for long run packaging work. We have many customers using Countamat who are pleased with the results, especially the quality and control of the crease.’

Neil Leath, managing executive, from Laserline Dies Limited, commented:

‘Following our recent investment in a new Elcede Countermate Evo Milling machine, and in partnership with C&T Matrix utilising the Countamat material, we can offer the best possible creasing solutions to the convertors.’
