Linney has expanded its bookletmaking production following investment in a Horizon Ice StitchLiner Mark IV next generation saddlestitching system from IFS.

The Mansfield sixth generation multichannel marketing services group chose the StitchLiner, paired with a HOF-400 high speed digital sheet and cover feeding system with integrated 1D/2D barcode verification system to ensure highly automated booklet production with 100% integrity for booklets with personalised content.

Director Charles Linney explained, ‘We carried out a full market review and explored a range of options, as we always do when making an investment in new kit. The Horizon StitchLiner stood out for its high speed variable pagination and exceptional accuracy. 

‘It is perfect for short run, on-demand production with fast set up time. Together, these features will increase productivity by almost three times more than our older machine.

‘Our main reason for purchasing the Horizon StitchLiner MK IV was to keep up with increasing customer demand for stitched books and booklets. It also ensures we are in complete control of our production area.
