Jon Chapman from 59 Degrees North Limited, a tourist graphics based print facility based on Sanday, one of the most northerly islands of Orkney in Scotland, has been a customer of TheMagicTouch since working as a Saturday boy at a print shop in Guildford whilst attending the local college in the early ’90s. At that time the toner transfer technology combined with HTV, and flex offered many retail print and sign shops a new and exciting revenue stream that grew year on year.
Now rolling the clock forward 30 plus years, Jon, who uplifted and re-settled in Orkney back at the outset of Covid-19 in 2021, has added the DTF transfer technology from TheMagicTouch to his print equipment portfolio.

Jon said, ‘The DTF transfer printer has been a brilliant addition and complements the existing white toner transfer printer bought some 10 years ago which still produces a multitude of unique product applications.’
Jon added, ‘The DTF Magic 60Pro printer with its speedy printing has opened new markets for us printing higher volumes of tote bags, workwear, and promotional clothing for other local tourism based businesses. The regular arrival of cruise ships and a growing number of tourists has also made a significant difference.’
However, Jon added: ‘Having visited the Printwear & Promotion show in Birmingham it was only TheMagicTouch which was prepared to deliver, install and train me on this new and exciting technology. The journey for Dave (TMT technician) took three days just to get here alone. The company has, and continues to offer, the highest level of service and support possible.’
Jon added, ‘This year we will add more new and unique product applications to ensure steady growth and once our building is extended additional printers and finishing units may be required.’
TheMagicTouch again exceeding all expectations.
