Making every cap matter: United Caps webinars outline commitment and explain new EU regulatory requirements

Packaging Solutions

United Caps has announced a series of webinars streaming live on 4, 5, and 6 November at 2 pm CET and available on-demand. These sessions will provide insight into the impact of the EU’s Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR), with enforcement beginning in August of 2026, as well as insight into how the company partners with customers to support their sustainability efforts and ensure that ‘Every Cap Matters’.

‘EU packaging regulation is entering a new era,’ said CEO Benoit Henckes. “’hese stricter rules emphasise design for recyclability, support responsible material selection, and aim to minimise unnecessary packaging while strengthening Extended Producer Responsibility. It is a decisive moment for our industry.’

He continued, ‘Sustainability has long been part of our DNA. We are working hand in hand with customers to encourage lifecycle thinking, support compliance readiness, and provide reliable access to recycled polymers. Sustainability week forms part of our broader effort to help every customer navigate the new regulations with clarity and confidence.’

United Caps prides itself on its commitment to sustainability, offering thought leadership to the industry and a track record of footprint reduction, circular design, and transparency. This is the ethos behind Making Every Cap Matter – whether a standard or bespoke product.

In three sessions, attendees will gain a better understanding of what the company brings to the market, how it can help them navigate a complex regulatory environment, how sustainability has become elevated to one of the top three buying criteria, and much more. ‘These webinars go beyond theory,’ added Mark Tomkinson, from the communications team, who will host the webinars. ‘They focus on practical solutions that will help brands meet PPWR requirements and strengthen their sustainability credentials.’

Together, they explore how it will shape design choices, sourcing strategies, and market access, and what it will take for companies to thrive as sustainability becomes a business imperative.

On November 5, Mark is joined by representatives from across United Caps for an open conversation about how sustainability is operationalised across the value chain, from product design and production to sourcing and strategy, so that every cap truly matters

On November 6, Mark is again joined by Pierre-Henri Bournazel to demystify one of sustainability’s most complex topics – mass balance.
