Micropress has further strengthened its finishing capabilities with the acquisition of a high specification Muller Martini Primera Pro stitching line, expanding capacity and efficiency across its operations.

The showroom model comes fully equipped with six stations, a cover feeder, and Stream Feeders designed to maximise productivity. It also features one and two hole punching, ideal for calendars, school workbooks, and ring binder materials. The new line replaces an older stitcher and is fully operational as of the end of February.

‘The new line improves productivity through the Stream Feeders and provides much needed stitching capacity during our busiest periods,’ said production director Paul Coby. ‘As a showroom model, it is a high specification line with all the features we expect from a state of the art system.’

This nearly £1 million investment will sit alongside Micropress’s existing Primera Pro and its highly specified Horizon StitchLiner, further strengthening the finishing department.

Micropress, which specialises in brochures, magazines, catalogues, and leaflets, recently launched its online print platform, Press Print, allowing customers to order stitched or PUR products online. Following record sales in 2025, the company is forecasting turnover of £34 million in 2026 and currently employs 200 people.

‘This addition comes at an exciting time for Micropress, with the launch of Press Print and continued growth in our traditional print business. We also anticipate a greater foothold in the school workbook market, thanks to the new two hole punch capability,’ added joint managing director Rob Cross.
